1. Agreement

By accessing or using velveteenrecords.co (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Site is operated by Velveteen Technologies Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”) on behalf of Velveteen Records. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Site.

2. Accounts

You may create an account to access additional features such as purchase history and profile management. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Purchases and Downloads

All purchases are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in USD. Upon successful payment, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to download and listen to the purchased music for private, non-commercial use.

Digital downloads are available immediately after purchase. Due to the nature of digital goods, all sales are final. If you experience a technical issue with your download, contact us and we will resolve it.

You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly perform purchased music without written permission from the respective artist or rights holder.

4. Music Submissions

By submitting music through our submission form, you represent that you own or control the rights to the submitted material. Submission does not guarantee release or distribution. We will contact you if we are interested in working with your music.

5. Intellectual Property

All music, artwork, text, graphics, and other content on the Site are owned by or licensed to us or our artists and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without prior written consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Site
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

7. Third-Party Services

The Site integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication), and Google (sign-in). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velveteen Technologies Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

11. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
